Pick up the pace with our 10km Cheetah Chase

The Cheetah Chase is a good all-rounder running event. If you feel a bit too comfortable running 5km and are looking for your next challenge, then step it up and try our 10km event!

If you have run in 10km events in the past and are looking to set a new PB, then this track is for you too!

The course is measured to World Athletics Standards and certified as such.

The 2024 event will be held on Sunday 25th August.

The course starts inside the Taronga Western Plains Zoo before runners head out the zoo main gates into 'the wild'.

Runners follow Obley Road (closed to traffic for the event) toward the Camp Road intersection before turning around and re-entering the zoo. Runners will then complete a loop of the internal road network of the zoo and finish at the same finish line for all other events.

Looking for training plans? We've got you covered. Completer and competitor plans are now available here.

The Cheetah Chase includes your finishers' medal, water bottle and one day entry to the Taronga Western Plains Zoo before or after your race on the Stampede weekend.
